A hand-painted watercolor of a childhood home, commissioned as a gift to celebrate a decade-long journey to earning a green card. The piece honors the distance traveled while holding close the place it all began. Every detail of the house was rendered from reference photos and conversation, from the stone foundation and wooden balconies to the flowering vines climbing the railings. Now framed and hanging in the couple's living room.
